“Nina’s online classes are an absolute life-saver. I get the same personalised approach, the same care, experience, and attention to detail - and the same sense of humour - all while staying at home and staying safe. She makes home office a lot more fun and a lot healthier!”

S. Carrington

“I’m so grateful to Nina for continuing to teach online throughout the pandemic lockdowns. It’s been great in so many ways: she’s helped me continue to do the exercises correctly (I always knew she had eyes in the back of her head, and now she sees everything I do from kilometres away too!); it’s been a lot of fun to keep in touch and enjoy her humour; and best of all, she’s kept me flexible and continued to tailor the sessions to exactly what I need on the day. Obviously it isn’t the same as in her studio (no special equipment, which I do miss) but on the other hand, I’m maintaining my strength and still benefitting from her advice and guidance. And I’m still in good hands at all times.”

What is the Pilates method?

Pilates is not so much what you do but how you do it!

The aim of any Pilates programme is to stretch and strengthen in order to develop a balanced, flexible and resilient body. The focus is on coordinated and flowing movements based on breathing and relaxation that strengthen the body’s core, maintain the body’s alignment, and fix the bad habits we all develop over a lifetime.

At nd pilates, Nina evaluates your needs and then works with you to develop a specifically tailored programme that is right for your body and your goals.

Pilates in harmony with your body

Everybody is different, and some of us need a little more help to overcome injury, for example, or develop the body we want. For this reason, nd pilates has a series of partnerships with other professionals to offer a complete, holistic service that will help you achieve the results you want.

Current partners include:
Osteopathy Central
Ballet for Everyone
Swissbody Pilates

Pilates is recognised as one of the most beneficial exercises you can do during pregnancy and after giving birth. Because the core-strengthening exercises help alleviate back pain and improve the condition of your pelvic floor muscles in a completely safe and supported environment, it is recommended by gynaecologists, obstetricians, midwives and doulas around the world.

Nina has worked with many pregnant women and new mothers over the years, and works with a number of gynaecologists in Zürich. With her deep knowledge of all the physical aspects of pregnancy, she can tailor a Pilates programme specifically for you.

If you have any questions about pregnancy and Pilates, please contact Nina directly. However, you should always check with your own doctor before undertaking any programme of exercise while pregnant.
